4th Gen Gas Gauge Problem!
For those of you who know this car pretty well, tonight I was driving and the gas gauge bars went from 3 to 1 and then back up to 2. I can't really trust this electronic gauge or whatever it is. How do I know when I need more gas if these bars continue to influctuate? Is this problem caused because of highway vs. city driving? Can someone please help me. I am so confused!
i think it's common with 4th gen ludes. atleast with my car and my friend's 4th gen. as motion progresses and the body rolls so does the gas in the tank. And the fact that it's electronic might have something to do with it. just my 2 cents.
yeah... making turns, going up or down a hill, all this has an effect on the level of the gas in the tank at the point where the meter is. This happens on any car, but i think its a lot more noticeable on our ludes because its represented by digital blocks rather than a needle. Its easier to notice bars disappear and appear than it is to notice a needle move a fraction of an inch.
As for how far can you run it.... I've run my 93 Si as much as 50 miles AFTER every single block had disappeared and the fillup was still only 14.9 gallons, i had another full gallon to go!
