Default B-series CRX, possible to change water pump without pulling motor?

Busted my *** for two days in the cold putting my car back together.
Not my f'in water pump is leaking.
Has anybody replaced the water pump without pulling the motor? I'm just about sure i can get the pulling and cover off, but i've never attempted it with the motor in the car. Any info is greatly appreciated, i absolutely have to get my car roadworthy by saturday morning, and i cant start working on it until 8pm friday night. Hopefully i wont have to pull an all-nighter and yank the freakin motor out.

Oh, and get a garage! It too cold outside!

It's -20 over here in canada by the way, I hope it's not that cold where you are.

You'll need some slim ratchet/sockets but it can be done.

Jack car, pop off tire.
Take crank nut off, hard without impact. Pull crank SAVE key.
Take out all the timing belt cover bolts. Pull cover.
Loosen Tensioner, take belt off, try to keep everything aligned
if you dont want to go back and do it the hard way.
Unbolt / Reinstall new water pump.

Sounds like a plan to me! Don't think you could do it in a 3rd gen chassis, but a 4th gen ought to have enough room. The water pump's impeller isn't that big so you shouldn't have any troubles.

Good luck and happy hunting. Hope it isn't too cold where you are, or you've got a shop......

Honda-tech is the best

I know i'm gonna have to reposition the engine a little bit to get access to the pully with the impact gun, its too bad the pully hole behind the tire doesnt line up.
I was pretty sure it would work, but this is a load off my shoulders. I'm going to drive it to a friends house tomorrow, who has a garage. Where i'm living now has no inside working space, pure hell. I spent all day yesterday putting my car back together in the cold. DEFINATLY not as cold as canaday, but in the 20s. The water pump leaking was a real kick in the ***.
