Has anyone had any experience with the fitment of the three CTR center console pieces in an EK?

Being right hand drive, vs. the USDM left hand drive, I didn't know if there was a fitment issue.

Only reason I ask this is because I am considering to vinyl dye my dash black. I figured that the CTR console will be my best bet because it gets the most wear and I am concerned it will chip if I vinyl dye the USDM plastic console.

I know this is not a tech question and many don't shiv a git about such questions, but I really want to get as much information before I spend a lot of money or start a project I can't reverse.

the air vents don't line up.

 

Air vents? Maybe I should clarify. The three pieces I am talking about are 1) the trim piece that covers the e-brake handle, 2) the trim piece that surrounds the shifter and holds the cup holders, and 3) the trim piece that has the 12v outlet (ashtray and lighter for JDM Civics).

I've been told that they do not line up on USDM Civics

 

its going to end up a little crooked a little bit leaning towards the right side more and have little gap in between the floor and the shifter console but the A/C unit part is a little harder to install I haven't done it yet cause there will be cutting on this part I haven't done it yet I will keep you posted when I do it but its common sense if you take out both parts compare them you should see what needs to be cut on the CTR one in order to fit. just play with the other two parts to make them fit as best as possible
