they make OE type springs with as little as 0.75 drop

try H&R and Neuspeed.

or stock.....i'm guessing putting stock size springs would raise your car, oh, maybe 2" higher....haha.

what base is there that's in NYC?

also, try a search for suspension, you'll find a TON of stuff on here, that's a common topic.

you dont need to know alot about coilovers. they are fairly simple. only thing is id reccomend getting struts with a pair of chepo coilovers (cheapo bc you said you dont want to spend much money)

airbags can solve all of your problems. you will be as low as you want to be whenever you want to be and then with the flip of a switch be up as heigh as stock to go over bumps, etc. just a thought. if not try eibach pro-kits or h&r oem sports.

I could not attempt a speed bump if I wanted too... btw my car has about 2-3 inches of clearance at most on the race springs.

dont eibach only drop it like 1.25-1.5 inches.

Go over speed bumps at 7mph, and at an angle. Best advice I can give you.

Hey Crono,

I never really understood the reason for going over bumps at an angle??
Is it only to prevent the see-saw motion from front to back?

my show truck lays frame and soon to be laying body so the question about going over bumps at an angle.
each tire will go over separately, so you can go over slow. if you go over like both front tires at the same time then the cars weight goes up and comes down at the same time which compresses the suspension and then the body of hte car will hit. if you do each tire at a different time less weight is unloaded and the body doesn't dip as much when you go over it.

this man knows his ****! i tried everything, my car isnt even that low, but if you take them at a moderate speed, your car never goes down. it travels at the same heigth try it. and 7mph sounds about right
