Flaring Factory Fenders
I was wondering if anyone out there has flared their factory fenders out. I'm looking to roll my fenders out 0.5". I've talked to local body shops and they quoted me at $600 a fender not including paint. I have read about a machine that can flare the fenders out a certain amount. It connects to you brake setup. Just wondering if anyone has done this, and how did they do it? How much did it cost?
Sorry i don't have pics, but i have heard/seen the tool you're talking about, it mounts to the hub, then you roll your fenders with it, so it's nice and even, its not really to flare you're fenders though, it rolls the inner edge so you can clear your wheel tire combo. gets rid of "rub"
to properly flare fenders, it is very expensive it involves cutting a slit in the fender, and pulling and streching the metal and then rewelding it back and then smoothing the whole thing out, that is why it is soo damn expensive
Theres a difference between rice and class, my car has 18in Racing Hart C5's. My rear wheels are at a negative camber, the wheels are also 8" wide. Anyways I have Eibach Sportline springs and Tokico shocks to match. I want to flare the rears to accomidate the wheels without the negative camber. The body is stock, no body kit, just the factory wing and si grille. Since it's green it's more classy than rice.
