Default Could I use a auto y8 IM if I use it's IACV instead of my a6's?

I know a guy thats selling a y8 mani from an auto with all the sensors and throttle body, and I understand that the a6 isn't going to work with the auto y8's IACV because it's a three prong plug, but what if I have both ends of the IACV and just cut off the a6's end of the IACV plug and splice them into the one from the auto y8's plug? I hope I'm making sense. Basically just use the auto y8's IACV instead of the a6's? Is that possible? Thanks for any help, and I've searched but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.

My mothers Y8 auto. intake manifold does not have an IACV. It's just a flat spot back there.
