Just got my y8 head/IM/TB from the UPS guy yesterday. It all came off a 99 EX and its goin on my 91 Si hatch. I cant wait! Here are some pics i took a few mins ago....

 

what bloack you using y8 block? or a6? throw spme zc pistons in , 11.5 to 1 compression ownz.

 

Kool, ditch the manifold and get the skunk2 manifold. If its even out yet. It should be.

yeah d16y8 vtec. variable valve timing and **** ... makes that cool noise when you hit like 5k or so

Yes, vtec Im using the a6 block....its supposedly the strongest d series block. Im sticking with the y8 manifold for now because its the Type-R of the D-series . The head is gonna see a port and polish, maybe a valve job, and port match the IM. The valvetrain goodies are coming later when I have the cash.

EDIT: Im using the stock a6 pistons - I think the compression is a hair over 11:1 with them....maybe 11.2:1. Can anyone confirm that?

What you gonna use for the VTEC to kick in?

 

With some good machine work and tuning, I will hopefully throw down 120+ to the wheels on stock i/h/e. My goal is to eventually reach 150-160hp to the wheels, but I think I am going to need nothing short of a miracle to get that

EDIT: I think Im going with the Zdyne 1-wire for now. Either that or a VAFC and a P28 ECU.

Wow, the head looks very clean.

Remember to lube the head parts, such as lobes and cam berfore you start it. Or just fill with oil then start...

2000CX - that pic is a little dark, but it looks like the same IM. Mine just has the fuel rail, injectors, and TB seperate. Everything is getting machined for better flow!

EDIT: WTF are you doing here anyways? This is HONDA-Tech, and it looks like you dont even have a Honda.
