hey there folks. i'm new to this message board stuff but know that it's a darned good way to get info out. bottom line, we're looking to collect names and contact info for anyone who IDRC owes money to. as of today, the 16th of January IDRC has still not paid out their championship awards, which they clearly state in the rulebook will be paid "on or before January 15th 2003". we have also been made aware that several people are still owed contingency monies from IDRC events. if that's the case please list the event date(s), which class you were in, how you placed and which companies owe you. unfortunately we're finding lots of people that this applies to. thanks in advance... time to stand up for the racers!!

we did our part to come to the races, pay our way and win our classes....

call them and tell em. they are cool with that **** , they owed me moeny and gave me credits for races and memberships and money back and **** . they are good to work with. . . I delt with Brian Phan all the time .
there is a dude thats on here from IDRC , i forget his name though.

Well, I am waiting for contingency monies since september, all the manufactures I talk to say they have recieved no paper work from idrc. Je, crower, autometer, are just a few to say this to me. I have called numerous times, the only one to help me is Jerry, but he does not deal with contingency. I need these contingencies, I budgeted them into this years plans, I realise I cant wait on them, that is not fair. Alls they have to do is submit the their paper work, what is so hard about that?
If they are busy, fine but let somebody know, do the descent thing and return phone calls.
I have talk to other notable racers in the same boat, it is not my place to say there names, if they want their money they will come out also.

exactly. we're not looking to make enemies, just collecting info to see how widespread this really is. curious more than anything else. and we have tried to get in touch with the person who makes the decisions and he is avoiding our phone calls. we would just like to know what to expect.

Yep....I have called and called and called, Hell might submit my long distance phone bill for them to pay. It's ashame because i really like 95% of the people at IDRC, and running their events. This is just getting old!

 

really ? maybe becuase its bigger sums of money ? i dunno my experiences have been pretty good .
fuggit keep on their *** till they get sick of hearing from you . . .that seems to work well too .
how does that work with like quick class payouts? cant you collect at the end of the night? You just didnt stay long enough to collect? I stood beside Lisa Kubo and Jimmy Oconnor in line wiating for my payouts already . but never collected contingiency yet. . . does the manufacturer just cut you a check later or something ?

Championship money is not paid out till the end of the year..
Contingiency ..they check that you have the product, and the form is filled out correctly , then the sancioning body sends paper work to the manufactures stating you have won or runner up'ed at an event then the manufacture will send out the money or coupon for product.etc.
Raced day payout is only for the days event money.

 

I have also been waiting for my money from the last Arizona and the last LACR every time that I call Wayne is never there or his on the phone and can't take phone calls or that they will call back which he does not do at all.. 90% of them are real nice but when it comes to pay I don't know what goes on with them.

 

With contingencies, send the manufacture the url from the idrc site that shows how you finished in their event. Print out the results in the e-mail, if you like. Also send a pix of your car at that event with the decal on the car. Ask the manufacturer what else they would like from you so that you can get paid. Some times it's just a matter of the communications.

Well, Je said they wanted a certificate from idrc, so did clutch master's, you would think it would be that easy. They said we need proof , said I was in turbo this month, they have my pick and everything, they wanted idrc documentation. Jason

Damn that sucks I was all excited when I saw IDRC's contingency list. I have been tring to figure out how I was going to make it to 6 races that were within driving distance to me. But if its really like this to get the $$$ owed to you screw it.

 

I still haven't gotten contingencies from 2 seasons ago , so I definitely know what you guys mean. Good luck everyone.

Interesting thing happened...Got a call from IDRC, Ohhh the rulebook was a misprint, Jan 15th was the wrong date. Yeah. Said it's really the end of the month (Jan.). Well still full of crap! A big no show in the mail today. Haven't been returning any calls either, or e-mails. It really sucks the people in charge can't do what they promised, bunch of F-in liars. Because many of the people who work for them are so nice and really try to do right!
Oh well... what now...sue the bastards?
