Default Help on a headlight conversion

I have a 1992 Honda Civic HB and it has a wide-body kit. What do I need (besides the headlights) for a headlight conversion? I plan on getting the Nissan Silvia s14 headlights. Also, can anyone give me an estimate on how much it would cost? I was told anywhere from $1,000 to $2,500

I paid $7,000 for mine. Watch out for unreputable shops. They covered their tracks legally and I had to pay. If you plan on just using the headlights, you will need to have your radiator support bracket custom molded to hold the headlights. That's what took the longest on mine. Look closely at the engine bay pic for differences. Good luck...photos below

whoa.. i know a guy who did that conversion in 1999 and paid like $1500 if that..

i always did love that conversion though.. it still looks clean.. i think its funny when people say its rice, when it doesnt even make the car look different.. plus, anything is better than the civic headlights, iMO... but for $7000, you shoulda at least got the HID housings and like..a turbo kit, with a full suspension too man

7g's for some cutting, welding, and paint.. holy sheizer..

No...I got raped. I admit it. But, that's what happens when you live in Germany and there's nowhere else to go for work. But...it's pretty original. I've never seen an EG with those headlights on stock EG bodypanels.

$7K is way to much for a set of aftermarket Integra projectors at that, which is what is on that hatch in the pictures...

Wasnt the guy initially talking about an S14 conversion, i hope that guy with the hatch knows that he doesnt have an S14 conversion...heres what the S14 headlights look like...

Tell me about it...I could be in the 12's all-motor with a sleeper look. Instead, 13's but lookin pretty good. I never intended to spend that much, but my hand was forced.

I realize I don't have a S14 conversion I was showing him an example of a car with a headlight conversion and just trying to be helpful.

Dont get mad man...the flow of the thread was just weird...he asked about a Silvia S14 front end conversion, and asked for prices...then you posted and said "Mine was $7,000..." Which kinda made it look like you were saying that YOUR S14 conversion cost was about $7K...just miscommunication, thats all...

It's cool. Sorry about the " " guy. More of frustrated thing. I thought he'd figure I was just referring to my headlight conversion and not an S14 one.

Spoon92: I like your ride man. If I were to do a front clip conversion, I would definitely bite your style but with an OEM or top fuel bumper.

man i still cant get over the fact that you paid $7,000 for it. Didn;t they tell you the price before starting the job. yeah looks nice but you could have gotten a turbo kit, fully built the engine and be in low 12's.

Thanks for all the compliments. No, the shop never told me an exact price. I told them no more than $4,000(it was in an accident and needed a new front clip anyway), for insurance reasons. They were all "yeah, we'll hook you up, nice" Bastards.
