wouldnt intentional & continual drifting at many HPDE and sanctioned events get you flagged?

 

not if it's an evo or sti - then it's legal and encouraged.

 

it's amazing what a intercooler, hood scoop, and big *** wing can do for a car's appearance. the regular lancer is one ugly duckling.

 

I'm suprised how dirty it is for a show car. From the muffler and underside, it must have been driven quite a bit, you'd think it would have been shipped in... you can even see wear on the tires

 

yep, it definitely had miles on it. i don't think they were expecting anyone to look underneath at them thingamabobbers down there.

 

that car is awesome, and I think I like it better than the STi. It looks more aggressive IMO. I would get one in a heartbeat. they are gonna be very limited. the local dealer I spoke to about one, said they are only going to get 1 every 3 months, and the first 3 have already been sold.

Nice car, but was it a used car... for some reason, the bottom of the car looks a bit dirty to me... and the exhaust looks corroded too... but oh well, I guess it's just me...

 

After seeing the taillights, i don't think i like the new Evo 8.

 

perhaps an anti-rice aftermarket company would develop "red-tails?" there must be a way to dye them red; even "smoking" them would look better.

 

wait, so you're saying the evo 8 comes with those hideous tail lights? i was hoping it was just a tuner car(since it has enkei wheels and all). btw the front end is pretty ugly(don't like the grill). but i respect the power and awd

i think the STi is much better than the evo 8, it makes more hp(over 300) and looks much better IMO.

 

Word has it that the Evo VII taillights are a direct swap for the silly clear lights the VIII comes with.

Edit: Nevermind, the inside of the tire just said Advan. Yes, I am aware of the fact that Advan and Yokohama are the same company.

Question: Is the wing dry carbon or wet carbon? Looks like spoon weave

 

I was planning to modify my car until the Evo and STi were announced. Now I'm no longer sure what of to do.

I was thinking the same thing, but I started to feel bad about letting go of the R. Whats making it worse is that I need to decide whether or not I should sell it now, so I can start saving up the pennies.
