Newbie Swap Help
first of all thanks for reading, and I have been reading on this forum for a while now, and I did search before posting.
I got a 92 si with a bad motor, and I found myself a wrecked 95 ls integra and bought it. So today I finally towed the integra. Now what I wanted to do is swap out the motor, tranny, axles, shift linkage, Complete Intake Manifold, Engine Wiring Harness, ecu, Distributor, Alternator. What else do i need???
I have many questions.
1. So since everything is still intact in both car, when doing the swap, what should I start taking out first? Meaning unbolt what stuff first inorder for me to swap out the engine.
2. Do i need to unbolt everything from the tranny, intake manifold, header, etc... from the engine before i lift the engine? Or can i just lift up everything together and drop it.
3. An about the wiring harness, do i need the wiring harness from the integra also, i read that my si one would work, but what do you think?
4. I want to swap the brake from the integra to the eg also, what do i need?
thanks.
ps, what other stuff from the integra would fit into the eg anyway????

well lets see:
unplug the engine harness.
pull off the slave cylinder on the tranny, leave it attached but in the car.
drop the shift linkage
unbolt the exhaust from the manifold.
drain the oil, tranny fluid, coolant.
disconnect coolant hoses.
pull off vacuum lines from the canister and the brake booster off the intake manifold.
pull out axles.
unbolt the mounts: torque mounts, rear mount, driver and passenger mount.
proceed to drop the motor.
if your confused refer to a civic or integra manual.
swap everything over, should be plug and play since the donor motor is obd1.

welcome
to answer your questions..
1- you will need to start by taking off the axle hub nut. There is a thread also in the hybrid forum covering what to do as far as swapping. which can be found here:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=131949
2- you can leave the tranny on, the intake manifold on and exhaust header on. You will need to obviously unbolt all the mounts, shift linkage and header from the cat will need to be disconnected, as well as the harness from the firewall. then you can pull it right out.
3- you can use the integra harness, but will need to wire up knock sensor to D3 at the ECU from the firewall harness (if using the integra harness). The Si will work fine, but you will have the vtec wires hanging there and still need to add the knock sensor.
4- being you have a 92 si, the 95 ls brakes are exacly the same. you could benefit from the master cylindar and brake booster, but you will not need the calipers or brakes and could possibly sell it for some extra cash.
from the integra, you will need the P75 ECU, motor, tranny, both axles, shift linkage, harness, and you might as well swap to the integra radiator if it's still good as well.
hope that helps.
