CRX not starting
Ok, I've got a problem with my civic (89 CRX Si)
- as long as I jump the car, it starts up fine
- car won't start back up again without being jumped again
- battery is decently new (about 1 year old)
- Altenator is also one year old
- Distributer was fine when checked in september
- viper alarm still activates but horn doesen't sound anymore (last 2 days that's happened)
when I go to start her with the key, I DO hear an electrical noise from somewhere under the dash or in the engine compartment. At one point, the tach needle went to about 600rpm or so but I didn't hear the engine turning over.
I'm going to check all of the fuses and the battery, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and/or can think of another fix. it's really annoying since this is my winter car and I don't want to have to jump it every time I want to go anywhere (it's ******* cold out right now).
Anyway, thanks!

Could be your starter solenoid starting to go bad. It may need all sorts of extra juice to get it to turn over. So after the jump and its running does it stay running when you disconnect the cables? I would say start with going to a place and having them test your battery and your altenator and if they turn out good pull out your starter and have it tested.
