LOTS of EF problems :(
I WAS a happy new owner of a 1991 Civic Si w/ JDM ZC engine. I bought it used and all of the stuff done to it.
I picked it up dirt cheap and now I know why.
Brakes cannot be taken off. the bolts are rusted so I have to drill them off or something (any ideas?
I need new weather stripping and carpet. Any help on that?
Lots of the suspension is rusted up as the car was sitting for 6 months (and we get a lot of rain up here!)
any help/tips would be appreciated. thanks!

For the screws try and impact screw driver.
For the carpet, try ACC carpets...someone has the link here.
Weather stripping I guess honda is the only place for that.
For the suspension just get some aftermarket springs and shocks and replace some of the bushings with ES ones.
The rust is a tough one, here's a tip I got from DAP.

Tip One: How can you protect your Honda from rusting behind the rear wheels? You've the seen them on the road...maybe you own one...a Honda with rust behind the rear wheels. There's a simple and easy way to prevent this from happening and/or to stop the current rust from getting larger.
First: On the lip above the rear wheel is a rubber strip. . .pull this off; it allows moisture and debris to be caught in the seam between the quarter panel and the inner wheel well. You want this seam to be able to dry out. At the garage, we call these rubber strips "rust strips" because they cause rust.
Second: Go inside the trunk and pull the side panels back so that you can see the inside of the quarter panel. Take an oil can with motor oil and shoot the same seam (listed in step one) from the inside of the car with oil. The oil should drip out on the floor in front of the wheel if you got it good, so put some paper down. I f you can see visible rust inside the quarter panel, soak it with oil. This will neutralize the rust and stop it from spreading. Repeat this in the spring and fall.

for the suspension, it's the little bolts that's rusting up.
I have coil overs to put on but taking off the stock suspension is SUCH a huge problem (same with brakes!)
I'll look into ACC carpet. Thanks!

I want to take the rubber thing off, but at the same time I don't...just found a rust bubble about 1/2" in diameter on my rear passenger side quarter. And this was a Cali car!!!

i had problems changing my suspension. I had 3 bolts shear off at the head, clean break. I ended up cutting them and bending the shocks off(they were trash anyway). I also ended up getting new lower control arms for the rear because the bushings were shot to hell. cost a pretty penny though. that's what i get for owning a 14 year old car that has been driven through the snow and all the **** they put on the roads. All the extra work is worth it in the end, don't let it discourage you.
