Seat Rails for USDM Recaro SRD
I'd like to get some suggestions on seat rail/slider for my SRD. I would like the seat to be lower than the height of the stock seat, a height adjustable bracket would be even better. Any info on different brands, and places to purchase would be appreciated.
the vision slider/brackets will lower your srd. i have them in my car with my jdm recaro's and i think they're great. my knees don't hit the steering wheel anymore and there's a lot more headroom. the only bad thing that i can see about them is that it's a lot more difficult to see cars that are in your blind spot...

As we discussed, the wedge brackets w/ recaro rails are height and tilt adjustable. they can be made to sit lower than the stock seat height. some on this board don't care for the quality of the wedge brackets, but I've not had any problems with the 2 that I've used. one for my previous 00 Si and the other for my present 98 ITR. If you haven't done a search yet, try doing one in the archived posts as I've asked similar questions in the past.
Yes, the JDM rails that are available to fit JDM seats will work with the US SRD. However, they are not height adjustable and what you end up with is what you get. JDM Recaros and US SRDs are basically the same seat frame wise.
If you need info on where to get some wedge and recaro brackets, IM me.

I will be going with the Recaro/Wedge set up as kkim suggested. At less than $150, and the adjustability I am looking for, I can't imagine I will find something better.
Mike, there is nothing adjustable about the Wedge bracket. It needs to be on the lowest setting unless you are a midget. I almost made the mistake of leaving it on the middle setting until my Dad sat in it and was like "Uh, too high!"
I would tend to disagree with that statement. while not perfect, it does offer you some degree of adjustability. mine is set at middle f/lowest r on my seat. It all depends on how you are built and how long your legs are. compared to jdm brackets, these at least offer you some degree of adjustability. Just because you need them on their lowest setting doesn't mean that is the setting for everyone out there. Seating position is a very subjective thing and is affected by a lot of variables from one individual to the next. You may be correct for Mike, however, as I dont know him personally.
not arguing w/ you just making a clarification to your statement.

Also, my legs come pretty damn close to my OEM steering wheel. You may have an aftermarket wheel and have more room with your seat angle.
But will they work with a USDM Recaro?
Vision rails work with usdm SRD's. My wedge bracket at the lowest setting was about stock height. The main problem is that the seat was not centered. It was too far to the left and i would hit my head on the roof with a helmet on.
