my 1.9 60 foot time.
This happened a long time ago and I don't think anyone would believe me anyway but i will post. Last year at the track I ran a 1.9 60 foot.
Car: 90' CRX Si
stripped rear
b16a1
Iceman CAI
Mugen chip pr3.
15" rims w/ Toyo FZ4's.
Other than that, totally stock. I made about 6 passes and all my other 60 foots where about 2.1-2.2. Believe me if you want, but I don't care. I ran a 14.81 with my 1.9 60 foot. I would scan the timeslip but I seem to have lost it, likely story I know I know.

Front end was in great shape until this happened.

k is this way... ull be better asking on the drag forum but.. for future newbie reference here we go....
RT.. reaction time measures how long it takes u to move off the line once the tree lights yellow lights turn OFF to green ON... doesnt affect ET since its just a reaction...
60 ft times... measures how long it takes to ur car to move from off the line to the first 60 ft of the track... u dont stop.. theres already a laser at the 60ft that takes the time it took u from the moment ur car moved to hit that 60 ft mark...
330 ft... same deal as in 60 ft.. tells u how long it took ur car to get to that specific point
1/8 miles tells u how long it took to the car to get complete a 1/8 mile ET
same deal occurs with 1000 ft and 1/4 miles time..
all this specific points are good in order to see how well the car accelerates on low and high speeds.... theres car that can go off line real quick but get slower in high speeds.. same deal with cars that come off line slow and have a very qucik acceleration...all this ET and readings are used to compute how fast ur car actually is....

how does the 60ft work? do you just take off and once you hit the 60ft mark they click the watch, or do you have to stop on the 60ft mark?
that was an unnecessary comment....i never deal with drag racing, its not what i like to do, but its still a practice of mine to educate myself in matters that have relevence to the topic at hand, this forum really is turning to **** if i do say so myself
May this go to show you that you can't measure a persons knowledge by how many posts they have.
one thing that baffles the **** out of me is how i've been here since about august, and i've tried my best to help people, and get helped, and have never acted like i ever knew more than the next guy, and just now, since starts to pile up on me, wtf is it all about, i think attitudes need to be reevaluated.
1.9? Wow, nice cut. Was this peg-legged? What tranny?
I hate it when somebody(altoid) asks a pertenent question, and someone else(EFing8) has to come down on them like they're Joe ****** know it all. I doubt that you always knew how a 60' was measured, or even how many feet were in a 1/4 mile. Give slack where slack is due, everyone has to learn somewhere.

Come on epople let's get along, and I didn't see at all on this thread where someone was bragging about # of posts equal the amount of knowledge. Let's keep this the best forum on Honda-Tech. I have been to all forums, and I will be honest, the CRX/Ef Civic is the most helpful and serious.
Ok ok I'm sorry. I just thought it would be funny. As you can now see we canadians aren't all smiles and sunshine. Sorry again.
Well put.So back to the post. What tranny? LSD or Peg-legged? Nice time BTW.
James
Oh yes, the tranny. It was a stock JDM S1 tranny with a stock clutch. Personally I don't know how I pulled that time. Everyone else was pretty amazed. Maybe there was a sudden 100mph *** wind that I didn't know about.
ok its off topic now.. but ALTOID, dont even mind the useless posts. of all my posts on this board 99% is purely for advice and any way to help the members. I see useless posts as just a waste of time and done because they cant answer any better or dont know the answer themselves..
