I just changed the seals behind the cam gears cause they were leaking. I had to remove the starter and loosen the alt belt to do this cause i also had to take the crank pulley off so i could set the timing properly. I didnt take the cams out to do this and didnt remove anything with wires beside the battery.
I went to start it up and it sounds like the battery is dead but its showing a charge on my charger. It wont turn over at all and the lights and the radio work but it sounds like the battery is dead
Can anyone help????
TIA

Did you connect the little black plug to the starter? it's the ground. It's easy to miss- it's black, small and a spade type connector. I've missed it several times

Yep, on my car, the battery was fully charged, but the car wouldn't start. It turned out the ground wire was loose. Check all the ground wires from the battery.

It turned out that the battery was very dry so i added some distilled water and charged it for 2 hours and when i went to start it it would only turn over if i gave it gas.
So i messed with the intake and throttle and got it to start
thanks for your help everyone
also BTW:
Is the t-belt suppose to wobble a little along the side by the exhaust manifold while the throttle is open?

that side is suppose to have the most tension on it. When you string up the t-belt, you stick it on the cams the work your way around counterclockwise from the cams...
once you have it all lined up, then you tighten the tensioner....
