help ?pistons? rods? this b20 shit?
i was planning on using honda OE(B16) pistons and rods what makes a piston good, i mean what makes a JE piston better than a itr piston? what should i be looking for when i shop for my piston and rods.. this pistion and rod thing is the big factor weater i go ls or b20? here was my plan.->https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=382336.. does any one know about installin a pistions and rods. can i do it?? just take off the head and "drop" em in? any one know a good shop in NJ. how much do shops charge, can u get the price of what you paid!
first if its N/A applications then stick with ITR or B16A pistons on the LS (81mm), if its a B20b/z there is no other honda piston that will fit so aftermarket is the only way. for best pricing check best buys forum (or importreview - B20 pistons in particular)
can you do it? it all depends on you, remeber there is more to do then it looks when changing the pistons. so reaserch more, ie., search or http://www.google.com

I WILL BE GOING ALL MOTOR FOR SURE!! BUT I had over heard people talkin that i could go a 30 shot and it would be perfectly safe!! thanxs all but as 4 rite now and 2 yrs from now it will be ALL MOTOR
STOP YELLING WE GET IT ALREADY
N2O and perfectly safe are not two things I put in the same sentance. I've seen "safe" N2O systems melt pistons before because of some other overlooked problem. Just keep that in mind. We know you are planning N/A but what kind of HP and rpm goals are you looking for? What use? street, track, both And the almighty question
"How much you wanna spend"

Looking at your other post with the set-up:
If you are going with oem LS or B20 rods it is more important that you change the oem rod bolts out for ARP rod bolts. Shotpeening won't do much else but burn up some cash.
I'd just stick to the LS or B20 crankshaft rather than put the B16 crank in there, keep it simple and you will be better off.
Plus keep in mind that you will need an external Vtec oil feed line and modifications to the cylinder head (dowel movement/plug Vtec oil port) to fit it on the block.
