Default Timing belt question

My timing belt on my accord broke. Can you do a compression test on the motor even if the timing belt broke? If so, how. Thanks.

The reason why is that the cam will not be rotating and you will smack a piston into the valves that are left open and, the valves that need to open when they should will not as the piston goes through it's cycle.

That's what I figured. Someone told me that I could by rotating the pulley.
