i just put a skunk2 strut bar on the upper front of my civic, and it hadnt been maiking any noise till today... it makes a soft popping noise.. seems to be comming from both front and rear when i brake or gas (there is also a skunk2 strut bar in the rear, and lower tie bar in front) is it because of the chasis trying to bend a little bit? or another thing i thought of was the stock shocks with my RSR springs.

some other dude said it was the hat or a CV joint

 

look at the CV boot(s) for cracks or anything ... there shouldn`t be a problem with the joints if the boot is in good condition.

 

the CV boot is fine, but i pulled up and down on the axle where they meet at the boot, and it has some play like 1/8 or 1/4" up and down only on drivers side, the passenger side seems to have none, or very very little
