Brake pads and stainless steel brake lines that's cheap but if you got like 400 buy some rear disk brakes if you don't have any that's suppose to help out like 5 extra feet doesn't sound like a lot but if you think about it is or maybe it might be your springs does your car hella noise dive when braking if it does new springs

I have slotted rotors I think it helps some, I was thinking about possibly getting 4 wheel disc brakes. Hmm maybe wider tires..but then your handling would go down. Im not really sure bc I havent really looked into it, but isnt there some kind of Civic break upgrade a CRX owner can do? BTW not to be a jerk or anything, but why are you upgrading your brakes if youre CRX is for sale? Hmm, and I might be interested..

well, the problem is that I can't sell it. Tons of e-mails and calls..but none serious. I figure if I do keep my crx..I might as well upgrade my brakes so I won't die from it

I upgraded my front brakes to *gasp* KVR cross-drilled rotors w/ KVR carbon-fiber brake pads, and changed my fluid to ATE Super Blue fluid. Pedal feel hasn't changed much, but when the brakes warm up they've got a nice bite to them. It hasn't changed all that much, though, so if I were you I'd look into a big brake upgrade of some kind. Brakes are almost always worth the extra money spent!

oh man I have a love/hate relationship with the KVR race pads I have on all 4 corners of my 88 Si.

Under normal operating temperatures, they're so-so. During the winter they are scary. Heat them up real good, like say a couple 90-40mph slowdowns and they will hang you against your seatbelt with moderate pressure on the brake pedal. Fun fun fun...too bad I rarely get them that hot, and autoX-ing rarely does either.

I'm going back to Raybestos...

LOL - totally agree with you... I go for about a half-hour drive every day, and by the time I reach the destination they're gripping pretty damn good! But before then? It's like you've got drum brakes on all 4 corners .
