thats my boy...he slow...what he meant to ask was (if im not mistaken) he got DC JDM headers and the collector is 2.5, his cat is 2.0 i think he wants to know if he can do something to make the cat bigger to fit in the 2.5 lol i think...anyway what ever

Sure you could but why take the trouble to do this. You would just create a bottleneck. Probably better to get a high flow cat and exhaust while you're at it.

 

If you don't want to run a 2.5" cat, you would be better off exchanging the JDM header for a USDM one.

 

yes, just get the right flange and cut off the stock cat flange and have that one welded on . i got my 4/1 used and it came with the stock cat with the flange on it . since i couldnt find the flange i needed for my test pipe i just cut that one off and put it on the tp

 

You might as well just get a 2.5" cat, welding a bigger flange will make it match up, yes, but no better flow.

FYI to the guy who said 'lol' about 5 times in his post above: It's a HEADER, not headers.
