Do any of you know anyone that has installed a sunroof before.....just wondering cause I am looking to buy a 1994 accord ex and it doesnt have a sunroof but the guy said he would knock off 500. So I was wondering if there were really any threats with it...I know that some people have told me that they have heard horror stories about it like them leaking a lot when you get them installed body shop. Any info would be helpful thanks.

If it doesn't have a sunroof, it's not an EX.

 

I agree. I think it's impossible to get any '90 and up US Accord EX without a sunroof.

roof will run you about 8-1200 if you want the pop up and sliding one (the one that slides into the car)

I have yet to see an ex without a sunroof but cars can be special ordered and he could have ordered it without one.

I have an after market roof that was installed when the car had 53 miles on it and it is the pop-up/sliding one completely motorized. It rattles a lot now so I will see what I can do to tighten it up as it appears that a braket is loose.

no leaks just rattles but where is the snow at? in minnesota we are usually under a couple of METERS by now

 

I have removed and reinstalled my sunroof and it is a very simple process. To do a perfect conversion for a non-sunroof-equiped car, I think, you'd have to cut out the roof along the water rail things and weld in that section from an OE sunroof car.
Too much work and who wants to cut unibody? I don't think just cutting a hole in the stock roof is going to get any form of decent quality. The sunroof adds about 50 lbs to the car (at about the worst part, the top of the car) and I sometimes wish I didn't have one.

is a waste of money imo..to install sun roof..
just like adding abs on non abs car..
if you car doesnt come with a when it roll out of factory..
it mostly likely never will have it.
