Default Dent on rear strut cover

hmm i got a dent from I think the corner of suitcase on the plastic hump in the trunk that covers the rear strut. It's right around one of the removable squares to access the the top of the rear strut... think it canbe pulled back out.. and if so what you think the best way is?

its plastic, so now sure if you can pop it out. Or just buy a new unblemished one:

Whoever figures out why that dent is there can also take a crack at answering why the rubber hatch molding has an imperfection molded into it (right above the handle). It's on every R I've ever seen.

If plastic bends or dents it usually will show white stress marks

Heres my thought on that. The "dented" side is actually the way it should look, the abnormal side to me is the left side with no "dent", and to me it has no "dent" because thats the side where we pump gas. So to me it seems like thats why that side can't have the dent, to make room for the tube or whatever it is back there to allow the gasoline to travel to the gas tank.

EDIT: hopefully that made sence in a weird twisted way

The dent is to maximize luggage space.
