which o2 sensor...... results & bang for the $
hey fella i had a few questions about the o2 sensor.
I did SEARCH and found A GRIP of info but some were really misleading so i just wanted to find out the truth.
1)Is it true that Bosh makes o2 sensors for Honda, Acura, Toyota & Lexus?
(read it in the arcived from a memeber here)
2)Is it true that @ NAPA the heated o2 sensors are made my Denzo?
3)what is the difference between a headed and no heated o2 sensor................................. besides the huge $price difference???

I have not had any luck with bocsh sensors. I always buy mine from oxygensensors.com. I will be buying a bosch 5 wire for my wideband however.
un-heated O2s take awhile to start reading O2 content when you first start your car.
heated O2s are heated up when you start your car and give feedback to the ECU very soon on a cold car.
Thats basically it.

I tried two generic Bosch sensors. First one lasted a few weeks, second one didn't work at all. I bought an OEM sensor (single wire) from hparts.com for $106. Been working OK for two years now. (your mileage may vary)
The difference between heated and non heated is of course the heater. If your ECU is looking for the heated type, that's what you need.
