Hey guys/gals i just came back from a 3 day trip to Lakeland, Fla. They had the Pan-American Nationals. 3 top cars from Puerto Rico and 3 from Florida going one on one on the 1/8 mile...

Man was that fun. 2 cars from Puerto Rico("The New Vivian/JCR Racing" both of them were rotary powered, one was a Datsun wagon the other a Toyota Paseo repectively) were posting 5.02's with a 60ft. of 1.18 and 1.24. at over 125mph
They had from Fla. the "Fisher Buggie" VW powered cars doing 5.6's and 5.4's...
They had from Fla. "La Licenciada" Mitsubishi Starion posting 5.6 and 5.8 all day. This car has been feature on a couple of magz... and finally they had a Toyota 1.8l posting 5.4's and 5.6'... turbo & nitrous...nice show this f-ers put on!

Also they had the all motor 20b Jesus Padilla driven RX-7... this cars a f-ing nice ride.. posting 6.9 / 7.1... this car is all over the magz doing 10's on the NHRA/NDRA schedules...
And this is were jaws dropped... they had a 94 RX-7 from PR stree driven posting the same as Jesus Padilla's 20b monster! 6.9/7.2's... that was a beauty, full leather interior, radio and even ac for the hot PR weather!!! The turbo on this bitch was huge...

For all of you H/A lovers there was a nice yellow T.R turbo with the jdm from end posting 8.3/8.6... the guys car was giving him problems, he said he has done 12.1 on the 1/4, but the fuel/air mix wasn't working properly. There was also a full race CRX, i have no idea what kind of setup, but it broke the first time around... i talked to the driver, he told me 11.9 at the 1/4... and finally a 93 HB turbo did 8.01/8.1. By the owners words "this is a 10.6 car at the 1/4"...

Anyways i gotta stop writing i'll get back to watching the video... sorry for the long post but it was so much fun.... Them freaking rotaries are LOUD as F^&*...
