Finally ditched the 17s and got my stocks back once they had been refurbed. What a diff, even with the pony tyres I have on the stocks it still handles better than the 17s

I did have OZ superlegeras

 

NICE pics of your 95specR or 96specR.
Always thought OZ 17 looks nice but thanks for your input on bad performance so I can forget it.

 

Are the stock rims 15's or 16's?

 

They are 15s. Even though the ppl who refurbed them put 16s on the recipt

So do you find the car faster now? How about cornering?

 

Well Yeah. I have the confidence to go quicker now as at high speed the car was unstable, the cornering is also a lot better. eg. With the 17s whilst cornering (round abouts) the turnin was great but once the front started to slide you had to back off. Now the front slides a little more easy but you can still get power down so you arent coasting round the corner, you are still driving. Over all this makes it seem quicker.

 

Thanks. Now I know not to get 17" wheels. I have been considering 16's though, Mugen or Volks.

Yeah much better now. Wish I listened to everyone who said dont do 17s, 16s max. Oh well you live and learn. I am a bit gutted that I could have spent the cash I used on the wheels for an indution kit + custom exhaust or put a bit more cash on top and get a pukka suspension.

 

I bet you can easily sell those Superleggeras because they are 4 lugs....

 

15's look good. IMO they look better than the 17's (even though the OZ rims are very nice).

 

They have already been sold. Some chap up north is gonna put them on his prelude. Got about half what I paid as they did have a couple of digs in.

The digi cam flatters it a bit. Its has a few digs here and there which up close look horrid, the worst being a chip (down to metal) that is on the bonnet and wing, where the 2 meet. A chap at honda said to sort that out I would need at least the wing and bonnet sprayed, poss the entire front end depending on the color match. Oh well I shall just have to keep vasilining the chips to stop them rusting up.

Never heard of a 95 spec myself. Mine is a early 97 still using 96 spec though

Nice clean car... both the wheels looked fine, but the 17s look huge on the car though... the 15s are nice...

 

Ianp: Are you on Honda-R as there is a debate going on about 17s vs 15s. Its got to be handling before looks AFAIC.
