Default don't see a lot of turbo'd accords..? well look here..!

i saw this baby near my house and thought i'd take a few pics... oh wait a minute... that's MY car... haha-j/k... just got it back today and took night pics like half an hour ago (sorry for the bad quality)... feels faster (haha)... good throttle response... it's a drag gen 4 using a t3 super 60 turbo... using VAFC hack (it works..! thanks liam..!) i need to fix the crooked intercooler... dyno tuning is next... aiming for 10 psi hopefully... oh yea, just ordered 3" exhaust piping (from mkteller8) which is going to use a 5zigen universal turbo muffler... questions and suggestions welcome... i'm finally effin' turbo'd..!

iam7head, thanks... it's been a long hard road... i've been beaten down with "get a prelude/h22 swap" or "get a different car..." even "convert it to a stick" is pretty popular too... how much i dropped so far..? it's hard to say-you can get a basic turbo kit but there are little accessories that you should get... turbo timer, boost gauge, etc... i bought a FAL tranny cooler (you can kinda see it in the type R style grille) to cool things down for the auto for example... ummm... VAFC was needed for the VAFC hack... i'd say about in the ball park of $4,500 installed... i was trying to do custom at first but found out it's cheaper to get a kit instead... my main plan right now is to get the car tuned and dyno'd... i'm waiting for a skunk2 cam gear to come in... i'm not sure what else i need though... oh yea, good eye with the jdm hyper ground system... i don't think i installed it right though-haha...

ratherbewalking, thanks... i've never brought my car to the track before... i like the streets more... i'll let you know how much horsepower i'm making, etc., and who i've run up against on the streets...

ArchAngel Sabastian, thanks... so far i'm only running 6 psi with the tial 35mm wastegate (.45 spring)... with the VAFC hack, you basically set everything to about -40% or so... something like that... it ranges from -35% to -40% i believe... liam gives a better explanation than i do-haha... the only fitment problem was the top intercooler pipe that's on the turbo... the left part did have bad clearance problems with the hood but now that's fixed... and the right side the shop had to cut some pieces out of the way blah blah blah-that's drag for you i guess... the only problem left is trying to straighten the intercooler without having hood clearance problems... to those of you with a drag 4 on your accord, how did you guys do it..?

edit: ArchAngel Sabastian, i decided to give you my own special reply... just for you... baby...

edit: that's the natural shape of the cusco strut bar... just a bad pic i guess... imagine an upside down \____/

JDM_CB7, thanks... oh yea, to all of you who are wondering about the cracked jdm style corner light and fender... this lady in a suv reversed into me like a few weeks before i was about to get my turbo kit installed... as you can see, the 5zigen f350 steering wheel has no airbag and has a horn button that does not work... oh yea, her insurance gave me some money so i bought a 96-97 bumper for my 94 accord... and a vis racing carbon fiber hood... you just gotta get a carbon fiber hood if you get insurance money-haha...

iam7head, ATF inline filter..? i don't think so... the hyper ground system is $114.80 shipped for silver or gold and $98.80 shipped for red, blue, or yellow... the silver and gold are more expensive because the ends are copper-plated i believe...

ArchAngel Sabastian, we all know you've got the wider mouth baby... j/k... that's a good question actually... the 96-97 bumper lens are longer than the 94-95 ones... so maybe the 94-95 bumpers have a wider mouth..? the 96-97 front bumper fits with no problems... however, the 96-97 rear bumper is not interchangeable with a 94-95 rear bumper...

The car looks really nice and i'm sure it'll perform the same. I actually own a 94 accord ex. its a 2.2 vtec and I want to turbo my car/ My main concern is what engine to use. I could rebuild mine and use it. I could do a prelude engine swap but I really dont want a prelude engine. I would really like the Civiv Type R (K20A) or RSX type S engine. Does anyone know if its possible to mount the K20 in the accord engine bay without trouble alot of trouble (well not too much ). Basically it boils down to : I am going to turbo an engine in my car. I would like to use the K20. I just dont know if its possible.

possible? yeah, probably
WORTH IT? NOT A SINGLE PENNY
accords are heavy cars, they need torque and lots of it, the F22B engines are better for them cuz they are really strong and torquey

If you ask me, just do these things: Balanced, Blueprint it (if you have the money), sleeve it and put new bearings. (off course, change rods and pistons to forged ones)
If you do this, that engine would be able to take a lot of boost and it will create lots of torque needed to move our faties accords.
