all red 4dr tails?
Yes, they made a 4 door version of the GSR in 98 and 99, maybe 2000. They do in fact come with all red tails, so start looking! Check in the classifieds, maybe eBay as well... good luck.
If you can't find all red tails, I know others have painted theirs. All you need is Krylon Stained glass spray paint and a clear sealer. From pictures I've seen, they look decent.
Yes, my 98 4 dr GSR had all red tails. Too bad it has slight damage in the rear so now one of the sides are cracked
I'm using some 97 tails w/ amber turn signals until I can find another set of red tails.
Anyone out there have sedan driver's side all red tails for sale?
Kev

Go to a hobby shop that sells car and airplane models and get some transparent red paint and a brush. I got a bottle that is 1/3 fl oz of paint clear-red acryllic paint and I used half of it painting my tails. Here are some instructions:
Well, to start off, paint the INSIDE of the lens, not the outside.
1. Take off the half with the amber section.
2. take off the wiring harness. It kinda pops off. Then take out the lights by twisting them counter clockwise
3. There is a small phillips head screw on the part of the lens that wraps around the side of the car. Take it out. I didn't and chipped the corner off my right side.
4. Take a sheet of aluminum foil and try to cover the actual housing, and not the lense.
5. Preheat the oven to 200-215 degrees
6. Bake the light for 10-15 minutes
7. Take it out (careful, they're hot) and use a thin blade screwdriver to pry the lens from the housing. There are a total of four clips. Start from the flat side of the light, then work your way to the pointed end of the light.
8. When you've separated the lens from the housing, get the paint and brush out.
9. Here's the fun part. It takes about 3 coats of red to get the amber to look red from the outside. First off, wait until the lens is cool, then clean it out with some water.
10. Put a coat on, then wait 30-60 minutes between coats. Don't forget to check to make sure you covered all of the orange. Just hold it up to a light and check. Also, check to see if the lens is looking the way you want it to, so it's not too light or too dark of a red.
11. After everything is dry, put the lens back into the housing and put them in the oven to soften the glue. Just reverse the steps to separate the lens from the housing.
Hope this helps, and if you do decide to do this, good luck and be patient and don't break anything like I did.
