Default Tranny swap auto to man.

Has anyone ever done the tranny swap from auto to manual.
Ive got a 5th gen.
How much do you think it will cost?

let me tell you this.. it'll be cheaper if you sell your car and buy the manual version of it...its gonna cost way over 4 grand to do the conversion..

Speaking from experience, it will not cost over 4K. If you are in a situation where your tranny is broke and your choices are to rebuild or swap, the swap will most likely be cheaper. I spent less than $1600 on parts (sold some of the auto parts off) and labor was $0. Now if you pay for labor it shouldn't cost more than $1200 and thats pushing it.
