Finally I got my coil-over system
I got my Top Speed Pro-1 24pt. adjustable coilover/shock/strut suspension setup this past saturday, it is awesome to say the least, my car is slammed out even though i can lower another 2 inches, the ride quality is great, its a little bouncy but not anything like my previous cheap coilovers, after you hit a bump it only jumps up the stops like it should....today i went to get an aliagnment and the guy couldnt put it on the machince because it is so low so i dont know what im gonna do, im gonna try to call around and see if there is anyone that can alaign such a low car...any suggestions?
yes, this means your car is too low
and having the car bounce back up and stop is still not doing you much good, this means you have bad shocks or cheap shocks with high spring rates
once you get the car onto an alignment rack you will find big problems with your camber and toe, if they can have them set your toe as close to 0 as possible then raise the car up[ until you get above - 2 degrees camber

these r not cheap shocks, the setup was $850 installed, they normally cost about $1200 before the install, the springs to have high spring rates because it is a racing setup... i do have a chamber kit and the rear is all the way adjusted, the front can be straightned up if they can get it on the rack
the springs and shocks are a package from top speed pro 1, they are like the apexi world sport, they are dampers, i have a sprint camber kit with 18" wheels (as noted in my signature)
1) Haven't heard of Top Speed
2) Learned Sprint is not so great aftermarket company
3) $850 for the install alone??
4) How much for the breakdown of parts & labor?
5) Why can't you raise it up to stock height, or can't you?
6) Welcome to the world of lowered suspension
I am make like Pee Wee Herman and BEAT IT

Actually on second thought, I have heard of Top Speed
When I was shopping for springs/coil-overs/shocks I came across Pro Kit & Sprint.
Was gonna purchase them cause of price..till I learned "You get what you pay for".
I opted for quality and got DropZone(??? frmly WeaponR) & Tockicos Premiums

ok first off i know that not many people have heard of top speed, but they make really great stuff, its what alot of people around here use because of price but they have high quality products, second the price of $850 is the dampers plus the installation which was $100, the normal cost of the dampers alone cost $1200! third i have never had any problems with my sprint camber kit, the shop i get my work done prefered them
im not sure how far i dropped it, i know that when i measured behind the front wheels and then in the front of the back wheels, i measured almost dead on 5 inches total cleareance.. does anyone know the factory measure???
factory gap for most passenger {honda,import..} are about 4-5 finger gaps..
about 3.5 inch of gap.
that the ghetto way..
well the right way to measure the wheel gap is
measure it from the center of the rims to the fender.
about 13-15 inch.

thanks, ill measure tomorrow, i do go back tomorrow to align, they said they could do it on the truck align becuase u dont have to drive up on anything, its on the ground
dude, you can use some wooden board to go up the alignment machine(or anything else...)
trust me..i drove my friend's stunna accord..slammed to the ground and bodykit

yeah, good idea, the place i go said they normally take the front bumper off if the car has a body kit, they said they have never had to take off a factory bumper though, i just thought that was kinda funny
I actually thought Weapon R was a good company, I forget their new name Drop Zone Ground Zero...something like that.
The ride is good..............can always be better though

ok, i got everything aligned, the original place screwed me over, i was originally marked down for monday, they still couldnt get to me today so i went somewhere else, they got everything done in about 2 hours and it turned out a little cheaper, the did put up some wooden boards as ramps so i could get on the rack. everything worked out good and it goes straight when i let go of the wheel.... never got a chance to measure... maybe tomorrow, ive been really buisy
jspark79: the roads down here do suck. there are pot holes everywhere in the downtown area but i've gotten pretty good at dodging them
TheOnlyChrisB: the coilovers where $750, my local shop hooked me up http://www.compactracingdesign.com
jspark79: i originally had dropzone until i wore out my stock shocks/struts, i loved them they were a great value, dropzone are actually dynamic auto design, not weapon r
