LOUD squeeking noise when i turn steering wheel..
88 dx no power steering but it makes this annoying, embarrasing squeaking sound when i turn my steering wheel..left or right..its soo loud do i need to WD-40 my whole front end? any suggestions please..how do i get rid of it?

ball joints...see if the boots are ripped. if so, then spray just them with wd-40 and see if it goes away. if its them, hopefully its the lower ones. have somebody turn wheel back and forth and see if one of the radius rods vibrates with the sound(you'll know when you feel it). so you can see which side it is.

i got quotes from one shop saying $60 and other shop saying $100 to put on:
1. left tie rod end
2. right tie rod end
3. driver side lower ball joint
4. driver side upper ball joint
