At least the motor is in a 5g hatchback of a friend of mine running 12.01 @ 110mph at 2200+lbs untuned daily driven.

ball joint broke...he hit a mail box. reason why jdm front end is being put on now.

 

Damn, i remember the last time i saw that car Jeff, and it was when me and Terry ripped the soul out of it , and it sat as a bare shell for a total of like 8 hours until that kid put the stock R motor in it.. Then your motor took a drive to my house and recieved a new body. But i dunno if yoou heard now.. Your motor isnt in any car now, it was removed from the 5th gen body and is awaiting a newer and lighter (hint hint) body

yeah....way ahead of me. lol. I didn't feel too too embarrassed. I knew the light didn't mean anything..it was qualifying. I was actually surprised with that long *** roll out of gear it still did 104.7mph. I miss that car alot....but i don't miss almost 2300lbs. I ran it for chits and giggles one more time bracket racing and managed a 12.4 after that with less of a miss shift. Weird part about it was i couldn't see where the fluid was coming from. Next weekend when we parked together and i really blew the diff threw the case on my initial qualifying launch in front of the skunk car at the line.... is when i really saw where the hole was. I had fun racing with you guys.

 

yeah, rest of the seson we had nobody to pit with........but the potential of that motor was relized in terrys car and i know theres more in it

 

wtf? who wold buy a race chasis and make a show car outta it? thas wrong! the car looked krazy the way it WAS, i don't know any of you guys, jus curious as to what car you drive now.

i have no clue why he didn't take it to say DRT or somewhere to tune it. makes no sense. motor dyno'd 246 with 165 on rebuild on initial dyno pull. head gasket went(that copper spray i used for sealing must not have been even...didn't use it again) and off it went and came back to me. i upped the compression even more and did another build up and it sits that way as of today just like he has it. cam gears are still set at zero. dat moto got ***** and they will get even bigger when tuned.

 

I really shouldn't have ran the car the way I did this season. Pretty much just slapped everything together and ran, but it did good. I didn't even have a set of my own slicks. If anyone has noticed, I ran a different set of borrowed slicks at every event. (Thanks to everyone out there for support). Car didn't make it to the dyno because I'm poor. Actually, it's because I was scurred. Heard many horror stories about motors blowing up on the dyno. Now that I think about it, I definitely should have brought it. It will definitely make it there before the season starts.

Funny how some people think they know so much on the current and future status of my car. Wonder where their info comes from. Can't wait till the season starts. Looking forward to crackin a few turbo cars out there, all motor.

diff was already broke and moving around in the case(yeah mis shifted)...i just didn't know it. I thought i just needed to warm the tranny up more prior to heading toward the staging area.
