ICM - anyone have a spare one lying around?
When installing my MSD extenal coil, I noticed that the screw holding the rotor had come loose and damaged my ICM. I used to have a wierd tach bouncing problem that is a lot worse with my MSD iginition.
I contacted MSD and they say that the stock tach should work without a tach adapter, so I figure that the ICM is bad.
Before anyone jumps on the "Stock ignition is fine" band wagon, I will be running 13:1 compression on my 2 litre block and that is why I am using an MSD. Even on my 1.8L with 12:1 compression, the throttle response is better, and the car revs much more smoothly.
If anyone has a spare ICM lying around and wants to sell it cheap (I am broke
), email me at wiward@rogers.com
