My civic is always in storage and i just got my stock motor back in.
However the Check Engine light keeps poping up.
-It only lights up when i have been driving around for more than 3-4miles.(or when the temp is fully warm.)
-when i **** off the car to restart it the CEL goes away..... then comes back later


So the what i did was check the ECU for a code and all it did was keep blinking non-stop. WFT is going on?
---Am i looking at the correct light? (the one on top of the ECU)

Could it be a code 1? O2 sensor? Just a thought.

 

I was confused when this happened to me too. Will a bad o2 also trigger the check engine light? Does it matter if its a pw0 (b16 ecu)?

 

common someone has to know???

Code 1 is a bad o2 sensor. That is what i was getting at in my original post.

 

Reset your ecu, then re-check it. More than likely it's code 1, O2 sensor.

 

you have a code. try and find out what it is.. i doubt it's just sitting there blinking. the codes ALWAYS go away after you shut the car off. they come back on when the car is running and the problem occurs. THIS IS A NORMAL CEL!! so it's not different from anyone elses, it's just a different code. shot blinks are one. long blinks are 2. a pause in the middle means it's a new code..
