Wheel hopping
We have an 02 eurospec civic type r and every time the wheel spins or we make some burnouts with it, the wheel start hopping. Can anyone tell me why it makes that?

If this should occur the best thing to do is to get off the gas and not try and floor it. If you should stay on it you could break a few motor mounts.
You can either lower the tire pressure to about 25psi, or get a stiffer suspension for the car. Good Luck.
the wheels are hopping because the engine is torqing the transmission and suspension as it stresses its torque mounts. If they make them for your car, the best way to deal with it is to get some energy suspension motor mont inserts (get ES and not prothane, prothane mounts dont cover the torque mount which is what you need in this case). I bought mine from summit.com for 25 dollars, and can launch anywhere in my RPM band with no hop what so ever (not that i reccomend doing that). anything else such as getting stuffer springs or modifying your launch technique is just a band aide.
