hey guys,
the thing is i have this extra amp just lying around (mtx thunder280), and i was checking out the wiring to the bose amp, and it looks like it has batt, ground, left, right. So you think i could connect my amp to the stock bose system? you think the stock bose sub could handle it? Any info is koo. thanks

you are correct, the bose rsx-s sub amp is battery, ground, left and right signal.. as for hooking that amp up, im not sure the bose sub could handle it.. i belive the bose amp is only a 50watt rms amp.. we just put an infinatly basslink into an rsx at work the other day because his boss amp wasnt cutting for him, it ended up sounding really good

Bose amps/systems usually have a wierd impedience so your amp might not work with those loads, if it does, I doubt the speakers will be able to take it.

not sure about the car, but I know that the lifestyle subs run at a 1ohm load on about 25w rms. The bose systems are desgined to handle more but they don't get any louder.

don't bother trying it. the bose systems usually run 1ohm loads.
one of 3 things will happen:
1. you will burn the MTX amp up
2. you will cause problems with the stock system
3. or both 1 and 2

I wish car manufacturers would stop using bose systems they are just a pain in the ***.
hope u dont blow a speaker cause they are usually around 300-350/pair.
bose systems are a total waste of money IMO.
