Default changing final drive in ZC tranny

anybody know of a web site that has how to do it, or has anybody done it. How much of a bitch was it to do? anybody have a SI final drive to sell (4.25 ratio)? Majestic list the gear for $133 so I may go with a new one. Thanks for any help that you can give

don't know if these will help any, but i found them a while back, and i had to keep them. helped me through a gear swap.

Keep in mind that you will need both the ring gear and counter shaft.

don't forget you need more than just the carrier ring gear, you also need the cooresponding which I can't see clearly but it looks like #2 in the picture the one with bearng#136 to the left of it. that is the part I see bad, if the bearings start to fail the face of the assy is the inner bearing race and it gets pitted. before the face of the ring gear goes bad. make sure you have both and make sure they are good. I currently have two bad sets from my previous Si transmissions. One of these days I going to pick up a good one so I can fix the transmissions I have. I will Choke the SOB that sold me those two transmissions if I ever find him. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of a Rojer Williams who worked as a Mechanic in the Chantilly VA area and drives a black H22 powered 5gen Civic hatch let me know. He owes me money. And quit his job shortly after I told him and never sqaured his account with me.
