Default 4th gen, throttle body / intake manifold

i have a 91 EX (f22a1), and got a tb from an h22. the problem is that the tb didnt bolt up. naturally i think, just get an h22 manifold. but this raises the question, will it bolt up? thoughts? if i got a 5th gen vtec head would it bolt up to my current or an h22a intake manifold any ideas???

i don't know, i don't see why you would want to use an h manifold on an f series motor....you aren't going to get that great of performence increase for the cost and pain of doing it.

for your motor, the a1, i'd say find a 92-93 ex with an a6 in it, swap that intake and ecu out and that will bump you up to 140hp and it's a direct bolt on iwth no headaches. that's what i'm doing with my f22a4 to get that extra 5hp it has over my engine.

I have an H22 TB sitting in my garage, I've just been too lazy to try it. Maybe this weekend I'll give it a shot and let you know what I had to do to get it on.

cyrix, when you do it, I'd love to hear about it. I'm in pretty much the same boat (f22a1) and I've looked at maybe swapping on the 92-93 EX intake/ecu. I'd be interested to hear if you run into anything.

probably going to happen soon for me so keep your eyes open. i might wait until it's warmer, and it depends if the army is letting me take a POV. If so then probably this spring. someone on teh board has done this already and gave me some tips so try a search to see if you can find that. there are some vaccuum changes you have to make, but other htan that it's direct swap.

h22/23 TB direct bolt on too f22b1/b2 series IM's. ( no power gain unless plenum is ported)

most likely will not match to 4th/6th gen IM's
