Default removing pins out of ecu connector on 00 civic si?

can anyone explain to me the procedure to remove a pin out of the ecu plug? I know on the older plugs you just stick a small screwdriver or pin and push up but the newer plugs have that white stripe that comes out a little. Does anything need to be done with this? I just wanna be sure before i try. Thanks

I put in a test pipe and built an o2 sim so i dont get a cel but i dont really want to cut the wire to the ecu just incase i want to put everything back if it has to go in under warantee. I figured i could pull out that wire, solder the pin to the wire coming from my 02 sim and put it in the plug that way i dont have to hack up my wiring.
