Hybrid Race Car For Sale
I am selling my 1992 Civic CX hybrid hatch road race car. This IS NOT a street car and would require a fair amount of time and effort to make it street-legal. The car is built for the NASA East Coast Honda Challenge and is ready to go - just add paint. Modifications include:
- 1995 B18C1 (GSR) Engine/Tranny/ECU
- Exedy Organic Racing Clutch
- MSD 6AL Ignition
- MSD Coil
- MSD Cap
- B&M Adjustable FPR
- GSR radiator
- DC Sports shifter
- DC Sports 4-1 header
- GSR full brake swap w/Hawk Blue front pads
- GSR Full suspension swap (including arms/swaybars)
- Tokico Illumina 5-Way adjustable shocks
- Carrera coilover sleeves
- Eibach ERS springs 600f/550r
- Skunk 2 Camber plates
- Comptech Front strut bar
- Rota Subzero 15x6.5 wheels (3)
- TSW Hockenheim wheels (4)
- Kirkey race seat
- IO Port seatback brace
- Longacre 14" convex mirror
- Autopower 5-point harness (fresh dates)
- Quick release steering wheel hub
- Grant steering wheel (Momo Monte Carlo look-alike)
- GSR steering column (tilt)
- GSR dashboard
- OMP kill switch
- Optima battery
- Kirk Racing custom 6-point bolt-in rollcage with X back section, dual door bars and petty bar
I have well over $10,000.00 invested in this car.
Asking $8500.00 OBO
UPDATES
- The rollcage is NOT currently in the car (It is however in my living room). I will sell the car minus the cage and drop $1000 off the price.
- I will also *ENTERTAIN* the IDEAS of possible partial trades for an 88-95 Civic hatch/CRX that is STOCK and RUNNING.

This is the car that the Civic was built from:
Anyone who wants to go racing in the Honda-Challenge needs this car! It is turnkey and ready to go for the 2003 season. I can have the car annual teched, cage certified and log book issued if need be.

I just now realized you were selling this car... Sorry to hear you're need to unload it after all that hard work you put into it to get it running... good luck and a bump for you!

what u plan to keep the cage for a car u dont want?? then why sell the car if I may ask?
what u plan to keep the cage for a car u dont want?? then why sell the car if I may ask?
Because I will keep the cage for future use IF someone takes the car without it. I am trying to make the car more appealing to a broader spectrum of racers. If I sell the cage before I sell the car then I can't sell this as a complete turnkey race car can I?
The cage is custom built to my specs with several changes that are not found in a typical bolt-in cage. That is why I would hold onto it if it doesn't get sold with the car.
