Hey guys my girlfriend has a 98 prelude and for what ever reason the dash light didnt work for a long time. Now thats its cold out or whenever it rained, they would come on. Im in NY where its cold now so they are on all the time. Now when the summer approaches will they go off? We had a friend of ours ( he works at the local honda dealer) look at it, and he said it might be the multiplex control switch. Has anyone had this problem? Let me know. Thanks.

 

contraction and expansion. sounds like there is a bad connection somewhere. ie. when it gets warm out a piece of rubber expands and moves the contact out of place so it wont come on. this is my thought. if you can, trace it all out by hand, check your wires, otherwise you may have to wait until the summer when its warm again to find it better. hope this helps but i doubt it.
