my brother has a 97 prelude sh. fields vtec controller, headers, intake, aem cam gears, and a zex kit.
my brother has been having a problem since he got the car, which was just with intake and cam gears and the fields controller.
If he pushes the car to hard, say to redline in any gear, once he pulls to a stop, the car will drop idle down to around 500 and/or may stall out. And that continues to happen a few times after he pushes the car.
I'm thinking that it may be becuase of the fields controller and the settings that were on it.
Does anyone know the problem with the car? all plugs and sensors seem fine. thanks for any help.

This happens to mine also. Not to mention I once pulled a cyl 3 misfire code. Everything the prelude shop manual says is the stuff that'd you check anyhow. Plugs, Plug wires, all the ingition stuff of that nature, then on to the fuel filter and pump. I'm not sure exactly what mine was (and it only semi-stalls every now and then, but more now than then anymore)... I believe it could be the pump because every time you accel quickly or slow rapidly the gas shifts away from the pump, making it harder for it to send the gas, and if it's already getting old this can really lower your fuel pressure
