Default Suspension setups on 1st gen CRX (85-87)

I'm in the process of buying an 85 CRX, and the guy has KYB struts on it. I've been searching for some springs for the 1st gen CRX, but the only ones I've found are for the rear of the car, and they only lower it about .8". The previous owner of the CRX I am buying told me that the front suspension is from an 86 Integra, but all the springs for the 86 Integra are also rear only. So I guess my question is, those of you who have 1st gen CRX's, what suspension are you using? What kind of struts, springs, and anything else you're using.

Default Re: Suspension setups on 1st gen CRX (pat86)

Do a search, ive answered this question a bout 10 times, but hell....

ANyways..

1st gen(3rd gen Civi's) have Torsion bar set ups in the front, there FULLY adjustable...

Ground-Control.com has coil overs for the rear

OPM Motorsports has Torsion bars, but you might be on a waiting list for a while.

If you lower hte front to much you will be meeting the bump stop ALOT(and I do mean like every bump).... You can use a dremal grinder and get the brake line holder off and lower the shock further into the knuckle to gain some shock travel back. Camber plates will add alot of MUCH needed shock travel. The front tbar set up is similar to the 1st gen teg, but the Tbars from the 1st gen teg are longer(and stiffer).

Redpepperracing.com has a good 1st gen comunity, probably better help there then you will find here for 1st gens. I visit it while Resource.crx.org is down for a little bit, Its a little slow compaired to this forum, but you questions usualy get answered pretty well.

Civic wagon front torsion bars fit and are also slightly stiffer.
