h23a VTEC swap, has it been done yet?
I found these things to be going for 1950.00 roughly U.S. money. Here people are thinking them to be 5k, and yet I find otherwise right under my nose.
Would be an intresting swap and I am curious if anyone has any actual knowledge of someone swapping one in yet?
Kinda cool if I ever blow up a motor, although I am not sure of its actual specs. as far as hp and tq. Redline and other info would be nice. Anyone got any links, post em please?
Sorry if people find this repeative cause I posted on that boring thread about this same topic. However I just had to share agian.

i believe that the h23a was only in euro wagons within the last 5 years or so, and i can't remember the last time i saw one of those rollin around in stl, accord wagons in general are a rarity.
but if you could get your hands on one for that price, then damn, go for it, i believe they're rated at 220 hp, torque i'm unsure of all together.

your wrong.
h23a is vtec and pushes almost the same hp and a lil more tq than a h22a. the "h23-jdm" you list is more the stats of the f22b dohc jdm motor which is more like the h23a1 usdm non-vtec.

where do you get your information ? i've been to plenty of sites and all have stated the h23 is NOT vtec and the 160 hp rating is pretty much right on the money. Check http://www.carpoint.com they arent even a site that shows the correct information all the time for imports ( hey no1's perfect ) but even they set the hp at the same. Now if someone can prove me wrong with a link to somewhere that shows different, i'll retract my incorrect information but until then...my post stands as correct.
and these are the stats for the jdm f22b

again..please if someone can prove me wrong i'll glady take the blame ( no sense in giving wrong information ) i'm just trying to help.

european 6G SiR wagon h23a, not h23, it's not a well known vehicle, and the info on it is kinda lagging
but your info on the h23 is accurate
actually here's one more site:

h23a usdm is in the 92-96 prelude, dohc 2.3 liter non vtec... NOT the one I am talking about. I used to own one of these and know too much about it.
I am talking about the 99+ euro wagon sir/t (6th gen) with the h23a dohc 2.3liter vtec... thats right I am not mistaken or need to consult any other information... it does exist. obdII motor that is very rare and hard to find... I thought.
thanks for the link above... right on the money.

damn ! that rocks...hell by the looks of this you might as well get this one instead of a h22 ( i guess hence the thread question lol ) damn...keep me posted through email or something if you find out if anyone does it..this looks great !
looks like it is only available with an auto tranny, but you most likely could bolt up any H or F series trans. although, I could live with an auto to get the AWD version... that would be one sweet swap
