Me vs curb= Curb wins
Well, I was on my to a friends house to work on the civic when disaster struck. I take off from a light not to hard, and all of a sudden feel this snap. Total lose of control and no braking power. The car jerks hard right and i end up hitting the curb at about 45 MPH at a 40 degree angle. The jolt shakes me up a little, but nothing serious. Get out to see what the hell happened and when I was getting out of the car I knew it wasnt gonna be good. Get out to see my rim sticking out on the left side at a 75 degree angle. Thinking, this cant be good. Go over to inspect the side that hit the curb and take not of the tire all over my fender causing the door to come into contact with the fender when the passenger door is opened. Decided to have to towed which cost me 80$
. After taking a closer look at it I come to realize that the nut had come off the LCA causing the axle to break lose. This is what caused the lose of control. Go to inspect the side that hit the curb and the LCA on the right was bent. So all in all, casualties include: Right LCA, left axle, est. 1000$ in body and paint damage, and a 475$ spoon wheel. Bad day? Tell me about it.
EDIT: Pics soon to come!!!

somewhere it says u have to tell the interested buyer the car's past to the best of your knowledge. u didn't do that. drew does have rights in small claims court.
That's ****** enough, people. The beef is between Andrew and Tim: your opinion is not merited nor has it been solicited. The man fucked up his spoon rim, suspension, body and paint and has to pay for it. Does anyone really think things like this happen on accident? Everything comes around and he's reaping his actions.
It's no more appropriate to bash a dude who knows he did something wrong than what he did/didn't do.

hey, no need to go that far. no matter what (and a lot has gone down with that trade - i wish i never did it), i wouldnt wish death upon anyone.
as for the cotter pin, i dont know why that came out. i will say this - the car was lowered and lowered correctly, and i drove it for a year - no problems. i never touched the cotter pin on the LCA's! tim had come to pick it up and had drove it all the way to texas with no problems. 4 months in, the LCA fell out. my guess (and it's only a guess) is that something wasnt properly torqued down after it was worked on.
