Springs- which one to go with?
i have a 93 honda accord ex coupe and i'm looking to buy springs to lower my car and was wondering what brand i should go with and should i get the camber kits to go with them too? so what brand and why? if you guys have pics of your car lowered, it'll be kool if i can see a pic and how many inches did you guys lower your car and what size rims if you have rims?
ahhh...dude, heres what you gotta do. theres liek 100,000,000 threads about springs. youre new so you prolly dont know. theres a search feature, check it out, its kind of a bitch to use but people get tired (for good reason) of seeing the same **** over and over when all you gotta do is look back to old threads. anyway, welcome to honda-tech.
rightly said 5th!!
Use the search feature, you should get an impression from all the posts
Basically if you got money go with Koni's/Eibach's
If not second rates are good
Just keep in mind you get what you pay for...in other words DONOT go cheap

just got my eibach prokits slapped on. I like it cause it aint no bottom scratching, shock blowing slammed drop, but still provides an agressive stance. It is noticeably lower from stock and it maintains stocklike ride quality. Other ppl like to get neuspeed race or eibach sportline springs which drop 2+ inches that give them the slammed look that is crazy low, but i dont like it that way and so i got the prokit. So far, i love the ride quality, handling, looks but for some odd reason, i get some clanking noise everytime i go on bad roads. Maybe installation fault. BTW, prokit for 6th gen lowers 1.5 inch in both front and rear but that differs on diff gens. Welcome to the board and learn to use the search feature.
Yo mojo, that problem with the clinking is that when you go over a bump the spring comes out of the socket...I get that problem too.
I noticed it and realized the clicking cause I had the people at the store I bought my coil-overs from install them..I saw them upfront installed.
At least with my car thats the problem. My orignal/stock springs were tappered on top so it fit snug in the housing cone. The coil-over I got were not tappered so when I go over a bump they snap out of the cone and them back in. Its an annoying and paranoid problem, but I am sure you'll be okay......I've had my springs for several months and no problems at all.

damn straight...damn near everything i've learned about accords or pretty much any import has been off of this board using the search and just looking through threads. Even if the thread doesnt spark your interest as it might have nothing to do with what your trying to accomplish, it's usually good knowledge to know for further usage... welcome to the tech..

At first I thought My car would break down on the highway...seriously. But its just the spring popping in and out. The sleeve/cone/fitting is long enough so it will pop back into place. I feel confident that I will to be okay. Your situaiton though not sure.
Your eibach's are they springs/coil-overs?
Are they tapered/not?
Do you have aftermarket shocks installed too?
How close is your tie rod/cv jt to the top wheel well...everytime you go over a bump hard you could be hitting that. If this is the case save some cash and get lube for Mr Mech and start practicing bending over..j/k
