i cant get the front control arms of of my 89 civic si the bolts turn beu they are stuck inside of the metal part of the bushing. i have no idea how to get them out without cutting them or drilling them?
would heating them up work?

im up for anything this sucks

i cant use the clamp and a smaller bolt because its in a wierd place

lower or upper?
have you removed the nut if the upper control arm already?
you can infact unbolt the UCA from within the engine compartment. the two nuts that are next to the the dampner mounting bolts.
if it is the lower control arm, then if you had unbolted them out of the stationary nut, pry the bolts out with a screwdriver, pliers etc. try moving the arm up and down while you do that, and stand clear, it might hit you (don't ask how i know that!)

Man this is crazy! I have the exact same problem! I may have to hacksaw the darn thing out! It's actually bent the metal mount on the body! Anyone know if my 89 CRX Si one is the same as my 88 civic DX?? We both need help here!

 

yeah mine is bent to **** also i dont wana cut it out theres got to be a trick!
