need motor mount inserts...what kind should i get?
hey guys...will be doing the swap soon...i have all the mounts already but i need to get some aftermarket inserts. any suggestions? i have the rear mount insert from ES (Energy Suspension) already. it's a LS/VTEC going into a 1992 Si hatch. thanks in advance...
So you already have an ES rear mount insert? Well if you get the ES kit it comes with the rear insert as well as the driver and pass. side lower front inserts. I believe the Prothane Kit comes with the rear insert and driver and pass. side upper mounts (main engine and main tranny mount). I was only able to find the ES at a local shop and am happy with it
I would have like the tow main mount inserts though.

You can get them from http://www.prothanesuspension.com
The Prothane set is more aggresive than the ES set up, and you have the option of going with a "street" or "race" firmness on the driver side upper mount. I had this motor mount set in my ITR: get ready for some nut sack vibration...

The kit I recieved from ES was for Civic/Integra 92-00. I just told them it was for a Del Sol VTEC and thats the kit that I got.

Hey guys, I have a D15B7 and I just installed prothane inserts on mine last week, there great, I mean they really helped my traction out, but it does cause a lot of vibration. Its not an easy job like you might think, the rear mount is a mother--- and you almost have to take the engine out to get to it properly, but it did not include the upper engine mounts, just the three lower inserts. I do believe they were worth the money though, just be ready to spend 3-4 hours if alone
