at the junkyard i pulled the head from a 4wd civic wagon w/the d16a6 motor. i planned on p&p the head and putting a cam in it.

i went back down to the yard yesterday and realized that the head is from a 1988 4wd. is the head basically the same as the crx or civic d16a6 head?

i dont know if 1988 had a different head than 89-91, i know there are some differences with other things but not sure about in the head.

i guess it doesn't matter if the cam is different because im going with an aftermarket cam.

so does anybody know...can i use this 88 4wd civic head on my 90 crx? (both d16a6) thanks.

head should be the same......cam is probably the same since theyre rated at the same HP

fastcrx: I'd guess that as long as the engine is a d16a6 you'd be able to switch heads with no prob.

 

ok, thanks. i just wanted to make sure before i put any money into this head. i want to keep the origional head just in case i screw something up.
