Default ITR cams in a base?

How much gain do you think I would get with itr cams in the k20A3? anyone know

not sure if it will work b/c the base only has VTEC on the intake side, not exhaust.

yup, you might need the valves and K20A ECU or an ECU upgrade from Hondata because the stock ECU wont engage the exhaust side

the answers to this thread are so wrong.
and the right ones would be? putting the DC5R cams wont see much of a gain- stock rev limit is 6800 where the DC5R cams make power all the way to 8400- you wouldnt even be using them to potential without the ECU upgrade. Its a well known fact the A3 head does not flow as well as the A2/A- ive heard the valves/spring combo in the A2/A are the same so youd need those as well.
